Chaotic Covid Cove
We will start off easy on Dr. Rob as the shutdown of Mar. 13th was "unprecedented."
Of note about the SDUHSD shutdown though as that it was originally stated to end on Mar.27th.. the fastest return possible.
Remember the chaos of the "grading policy?" Wasn't that fun... Why is it so hard to decide in this district?
Now begins the wild dive to Covid Cove. One has to wonder.. WHAT HAPPENED OVER THE SUMMER?
Why did the district have committees if they did not produce running plans?
Why does the district stairstep every decision and leave all kinds of loopholes in their ratified directives?
WHY DO WE STILL NOT HAVE A TRUE, FEASIBLE PLAN TO OPEN THE SCHOOLS? Sorry we do have a plan, we don't need a plan... They didn't show us this.. Wonder why?
WHY ARE THE DESKS IN THE NEW PLAN 1 Meter apart?
This is nearly the same as normal? How can kids sit that close for that long? How does this improve learning?
Schools must follow the State’s COVID-19 Industry Guidance for Schools and School-Based Programs which states on pg. 12:

“Maximize space between seating and desks. Distance teacher and other staff desks at least six feet away from student desks. Consider ways to establish separation of students through other means if practicable, such as, six feet between desks, where practicable, partitions between desks, markings on classroom floors to promote distancing or arranging desks in a way that minimizes face-to-face contact."
There is not a minimum required distance between student desks (although 6 ft is recommended where practicable). There is a 6ft minimum requirement between students and the staff/educator.

Remember this survey? The one that came out on MONDAY was due on Friday and presented at the Board Meeting on Wed. 10/14 with "80% responding positive?" One has to be concerned what they are teaching for analysis over in the district.
